When it was time for Charity to get her license, it was another Chevy that made an influence in her life – this time it was a 1967 Chevelle that her dad bought her for her as her first car. Even the crown molding, vents, and woodwork are custom, with little “Easter Egg” features just waiting to be found in every corner. Among the builds that Kindig-It Design has put out, are celebrity-owned cars, SEMA show cars, and countless big-time award winners. You don’t get to where Kindig-It Design has by producing less than stellar rides, and the shelves of awards and accolades proves just what kind of caliber builds the company turns out on a regular basis. In just two short months, the new business needed more space, so Dave moved Kindig-It Design into a commercial building in the Southeast part of Salt Lake City, Utah.

With Kindig-It Design coming up on 18 years in business, Charity has taken her role in the company to great heights. Not only is she co-owner of the company, she’s also the vice president, overseeing just about every part of the company. Compared to the original car, the CF1 is a much bigger, wider car with a commensurate expansion of the cockpit. Kindig told the audience at the opening of the show, that people must have been smaller back in the day, as the interior of a C1 Corvette is cramped by today’s standards.
Slam’d Holiday Guide: The Stuff You Really Wanted For Christmas
He had been working out of the couple’s garage on various projects for family and friends, and wanted to take his passion for building and turn it into a full-time job. Charity was all for it, telling Dave that once their youngest child was born, he could quit his job and build a business of his own. It was just six weeks after the couple’s youngest child, Drew, was born that Dave quit his job, ready for the next adventure. Not only is she co-owner of the company, but she’s also the vice president, overseeing just about every part of the company.

He started working in November of 2014 and has been an awesome fit with the rest of the crew. Starting as early as age 8, Tom Clarke® bonded with his father by working with him on a muscle car rebuild. What began as an interest in cars, sparked into Tommy's life-long appreciation for beautiful vehicles and the craftsmanship that goes into them. When he bought his first car, a Ford Mustang GT, weeks after his 16 th birthday, his relationship with American muscle cars grew even more.
He took that leap just six weeks after Drew was born, with Charity and their now two children along for the ride. Charity recently admitted to us that she was “absolutely terrified to take that leap of faith with him.” But that jump proved to be one of the best decisions the couple ever made. When not working away at his dream job; Shannon enjoys cruising around town, going to car shows, working on his personal builds, hitting some balls at the baseball cages, and spending time with his family. Brian joined the Kindig-it Design team in July 2014 and specializes in body work. Brian spent 16 years before Kindig-it Design working as a collision repair technician with various companies.
Just this past year, Kindig-It Design fully renovated the shop’s showroom. Born and raised in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, Joseph has always had a passion for cars. One of his earliest memories was sitting in the backseat of his parents’ custom 1960 Ford Starliner going around the Kansas City Speedway Track at a Goodguys show. Yoan is originally from Cuba and moved to Florida 15 years ago where he started doing mobile bodywork and paint repairs until he started working in a custom shop. Is your website effectively communicating with your target audience and providing the best user experience? To do this effectively, you need top-quality graphic designs that immediately grab attention across all your media platforms. Charity may have her hands full as vice president of Kindig-It Design, and mother and wife, but she still finds time to partake in some of her favorite pastimes like playing golf, decorating, and anything that has to do with creating things.

The couple’s youngest, Drew, is also a creative soul, although designing cars is less his thing than designing theater sets and dabbling in furniture design. Charity’s dad was a major influence in her life, introducing her to the hot rod world. To this day, he remains a vital part of Charity and Dave’s automotive passion.
When not slinging out our signature door handles; Kyler enjoys building and customizing motorcycles. Kyler loves his job, the team, and is excited about his future here at Kindig-it Design. Eric grew up in St. George, UT then moved to SLC in 2006 for a change of pace and to explore new opportunities.
She’s also very passionate about a number of causes, which the Kindig family contributes to regularly, including suicide prevention in children and mental health causes. Going much further beyond the front doors may require an escort of sorts, but getting into the shop itself is well worth it. Just inside the doors are walls filled with classic Kindig-It renderings from dozens of full-blown project vehicles that Dave and his crew have taken on over the years. After the couple’s second child, Drew, was born, Dave had the “green light” so to speak to quit his job and go into business for himself.
He donates a lot of his time and resources to support communitieswanting to build protective assets in youth. In 2014, the Kindig-It Design crew took another big leap of faith, signing on with Velocity for a unique television show featuring a look at a number of the company’s high-profile builds from start to finish. The show, Bitchin’ Rides, is currently filming season four at the Kindig-It shop, with crews documenting all aspects of many of the company’s current projects on a nearly daily basis. But no matter how many film crews are on hand, the Kindig family will never fall into the spiral of fame.
